Character Name | Du'gash |
Gender | Male |
Race | Orc |
Class | Warlock |
Personality | The short version can be summed up with a few words. Regretful, conflicted, conniving and corrupted. The longer version of it all is a bit more complicated than that. Regrets follows after him, for all of the deeds he has done during the three wars and afterwards. He's haunted by past his actions during the old horde, and it reflects in his demeanor in the form of a somber attitude. Having only recently become comfortable within the horde, warchiefs such as Garrosh and Sylvanas have him questioning his loyalties- whether that be to his people, the horde at whole, or his warchief. Torn on numerous sides, Du'gash copes by opting into a neutral stance concerning internal affairs within the horde. His time within the Stormreaver clan has left its mark- and his scheming habits have yet to die. Though his goals have turned away from self-serving and more to support the rest of the horde, his cares end right there- leaving people outside of the horde and his immediate allies liable to trying to be used in his plots- both big and small. But most importantly, the effect of his use of the fel is obvious. He's not by any means a Gul'dan, but his approach to solving problems have a tendency to find themselves with the use of nefarious magic. Cruelty isn't uncommon, and indifference towards strangers is the norm. Rarely are grudges let go, and he finds himself more often than not indulging in sin. This isn't to say that he isn't making a conscious effort to limit his use (and abuse) of the fel. But it's certainly going to take a long time. A very, very long time. Rather atypical for one of his kind is his approach to the other races of the horde. Where as the youth of his people may be rash, and blunt (as well as some his similarly aged peers) with some Orcish supremacy from the era of Garrosh, Du'gash is polite if not a little reserved. He finds himself intrigued by sin'dorei society, and is impressed by the hospitality of the Tauren of Thunderbluff. Forsaken are met with a surprising amount of empathy, Goblins and their business ethic are given due respect, and the tribal nature of Trolls evokes a bit of comfort from the orc. |
Aesthetic Description | A great number of years and ordeals have weathered down this orc to what he is now. Time has turned his already rough skin wrinkly and almost leathery to the touch. His pear green complexion has faded with his time of Durotar, darkening at his shoulders, face and arms with a tan. Across his face and body are inconsistent speckles of freckles and marks of imperfection, dark mossy green in color. His wide, rectangular face houses prominent and somewhat jutting cheekbones, with slightly gaunt cheeks and a small and slightly upturned nose. Long distinct creases across his forehead, crows feet at the corner of his deep red eyes which are accented by dark rings of a lack of rest. Laugh lines go down along his face to meet with his large and thick jaw, framing cracked large lips. Long dark black hairs hang down from the sides of this face and along his jawline and chin, twisted and pull down into loose and lazy braids. The hair sprouting out from his head is handled in a very similar fashion- easily at abdomens length, for the most part his hair is left to flow down his back, with gray and white hairs poking out from amidst the tangled dark sea of his head of hair. At the sides of his face, the hairs are pulled around into long and thick braids that hand over his shoulders and at his front. For an older orc, Du'gash is remarkably fit. No doubt in part due to his orcish heritage, Du'gash finds it easy to maintain muscle mass- and a lot of it. With his large muscles, having admittedly slimmed down quite a bit from his youth, he maintains the similar bodybuilder-esque shape of most orcs. Broad shouldered, with thick and long arms hanging down at his sides dotted in small scars here and there. Faded dull black tattoos are seen along his built back in tribal, almost shamanistic swirls and points. Tattooed orcish runes tell tales of ancestors of old, though faded and some disrupted by battle damage. The muscles of his chest and abdomen are still fairly well defined, either through some fairly regular exercise or some other means. His hands are large and calloused, with meaty fingers and rough nails. His waist and stomach thin down somewhat before following up with muscular thighs and legs, his limbs showing weathering from so many years of walking. When it comes to wounds and scarring, Du'gash seems to have quite amount of his own. Plenty seem to be self inflicted, with dark cut marks along his arms and thighs, and skin warped and twisted by intense heat at his hands and arms. There are even some cuts at his cheek and chin, with a cut dividing one of his eyebrows. Du'gashes wardrobe is in dire straits. In fact, he looks almost poverty stricken. This is of no real surprise however, as warlocks have never truly earned their place- and Du'gash is no different, especially given his prior allegiances and actions. Destitute, with tattered dark robes and old furs, stained by blood and time. His feet are covered simply by thick wraps, and he wears a simple hooded leather cloak to help further protect himself from the elements. All in all, his garb is more reminiscent of the orcs of old Draenor than it is of the orcs of Orgrimmar. Whenever casting, in similar fashion to warlocks of other species Du'gashes eyes flare up with a sickly green glow. And in fashion with his people, when pushed towards great anger, the red of his eyes burns bright. |

Background | The most commonly available background of Du'gash is that he is one of the elderly members of the Horde, having been there since its earliest days. He was a practitioner of the dark arts of the fel for many years, using it to aid the horde as best as he could in their conquests before he was, as well as many others, captured and placed within one of many Interment Camps upon the eastern kingdoms. Following a successful revolt and the escape of him and many others, he ended up joining Thrall and his horde across to kalimdor. There, he'd make a new home with the rest of the orcs- though pushed away and detested for his nature as a warlock. Over the course of years, as well as helping as assisting at the battle of Mount Hyjal against the burning legion. Only after that, was he able to earn more of his acceptance with the orcs of Orgrimmar- though remaining distant from the others, and a short ways outside of the city limits. _______ You may know Du'gash if: * You were once a member of the Stormreaver Clan (In which you'll also know more about him during his prime than others.) * You are a current or former member of the Blackrock clan (In which case you'd know more about Du'gash during his youth and the rise of the Horde.) * You're an older orc who participated in any of the wars, from first to third. * You're a native or resident of Durotar, where he holds up his residence. * You were either born, or contained within an interment camp as an orc. * You're a fellow warlock of Orgrimmar. |
